Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems, ensuring high performance and security. Evaluate and optimize network performance for scalability and efficiency.
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability. Identify and mitigate potential risks before they impact operations.
  • Conduct network security assessments and enforce best practices to protect infrastructure. Implement proactive security measures, including firewall policies, intrusion detection, and compliance monitoring.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable, high-performance network solutions that align with business and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in network engineering, with hands-on expertise in configuring and managing network devices.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and firewall configurations. Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking, and automation tools is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Ability to analyze logs and metrics for proactive issue resolution.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset. Ability to diagnose complex network issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including non-technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Capable of handling multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable. Certifications in cloud networking (AWS, Azure) or cybersecurity (CISSP, CEH) will be considered an advantage.

CLOUDLAYER8 LTD is looking to recruit a NOC engineer for full time employment in Limassol.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Company’s networks and services from NOC (Network Operations Center), using the network tools and systems
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are maintained and executed
  • Analyze alarms and trouble indicators to identify problem areas and escalate to appropriate parties
  • Perform ticket management and assignment based upon urgency and issue
  • Carry-out fast and efficient 1st level troubleshooting when issues are encountered
  • Data center tasks including racking, cabling, etc.

Requirements

  • University/Associate Degree in Computer Science or in a related field
  • Basic Networking knowledge
  • Basic Knowledge of  MS Windows
  • Fluency in Greek and English (written & spoken)
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Availability to work in a 24/7 NOC shifts rotation schedule

The following will be considered as plus

  • Good understanding and experience with Linux/Unix platform system administration
  • Good understanding of DNS concepts
